WordPress Challenge : Place in the world

Place in the World

Currently on holiday, currently walking a long national trail.  The South West Coast Path.

Love wild places like these.  Away from it all.  Away from the hustle and bustle where you can breathe.

When the sun shines it’s even better!

It has been good walking (one week in) – 64 miles done so far. Lots of wild flowers in the woods between Clovelly and Westward Ho! The most beautiful bit of coast has been between Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. Sorry it’s taken me so long to reply to your comment. Internet up and down.

You are right – so many places to walk and cycle. For the South West Coast Path we have stayed in rental cottages. We hadn’t actually planned to do the whole trail when we took our first holiday in Cornwall in 2015 – once we did some walking down on The Lizard we were hooked. So, we have spent several holidays down in the south west – for one or two weeks at a time since then. We check bus timetables, car parks and mileage (per day) to see where our base (cottage) location would suit us. Though once we started this we found that it was certainly easier to get accommodation (in the right place) in Cornwall – South Devon not so bad, Dorset a little bit harder and North Devon hardest. We have all but completed now (last Friday) and are back home – unfortunately we have left ourselves with a missing 30 miles between Dartmouth and Salcombe. Heavy rain meant 3 postponed walks last year!
